These terms govern the use of the mtc.ro website. The sale of MTC’s products and services is governed by the accepted offer or contract.
1. Who runs the website
The mtc.ro website presents the business of MTC ROMÂNIA IMPEX SRL (“MTC”), VAT/registration code 4379153, Trade Register number J1993002861126, EUID ROONRC.J1993002861126, with its registered office in Cluj-Napoca, Bd. 21 Decembrie 1989, nr. 129, bl. Production is at TRC Park, Jucu de Sus, Cluj County, where the BarrierLab laboratory is also located.
By using the website you take note of the rules below. They do not remove the rights the law gives you, and visiting the website does not conclude a contract.
2. Purpose of the website and nature of the information
The website presents the packaging films, packaging machines and ingredients distributed by MTC, its own film lamination and slitting, and the related services: technical support, samples, installation and service.
Descriptions of products, machines, technical data, manufacturers and production capabilities are indicative presentation information. Availability, specification, price, delivery time and conditions are confirmed for each request, by a written offer or a contract. Prices are not shown on the website; they are given on request.
The information on the website is not, in itself, a contractual data sheet, a declaration of conformity, a certification or a guarantee of how a product will behave in a given application.
The virtual assistant, available only after your explicit consent, is a service designed and provided by BEYOND SOFTWARE SRL, which uses an artificial intelligence service hosted in Microsoft Azure. The assistant provides general information about MTC’s products and services. Its answers may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate and are not firm offers, prices, data sheets, legal conclusions or commitments of MTC. For a technical or commercial decision, ask MTC’s specialists for confirmation.
3. Requests, offers and orders
A request sent by phone or email is not an accepted order and does not conclude a contract. MTC assesses the request and, if it can fulfil it, sends an offer.
The sale of products and the services ordered are governed by the accepted offer or contract. For a given order, the conditions expressly negotiated and accepted prevail over the general rules.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you send and for your right to send it. Do not send us passwords, identity documents, health data or other people’s data without a legal basis. For highly sensitive technical documentation, a communication channel or a confidentiality agreement can be agreed in advance.
4. Intellectual property
Texts, graphics, the logo, the structure of the website, photographs and original materials belong to MTC or are used with the right holders’ permission. Names and trademarks of manufacturers and equipment belong to their owners.
The photographs on the Production page were taken in the MTC production hall; the origin of each photograph (date, location, camera, editing) is shown in its details. The IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Viewing, short quotations with the source indicated and sharing links to the website are permitted. Systematic reproduction, reselling the content, removing authorship notices and using trademarks in a way that suggests an unauthorised connection require the right holder’s written consent.
Documents and technical information sent by a client do not become MTC’s property merely by being sent.
5. Fair use and security
Do not attempt unauthorised access to systems, overloading the website or the assistant, abusive automated extraction of content, sending malicious code or using the website to infringe the rights of others. MTC may apply proportionate technical measures, including limiting automated requests.
6. Availability, updates and links
We aim to keep the website available and the information up to date, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, incidents or changes. We may correct the content and change the products and services presented, without affecting orders already accepted.
Links to third-party pages, including barrierlab.ro, are for information; the content and policies of those pages are the responsibility of those who run them.
7. Limits of general information
Public information does not replace checking, for your application, the applicable technical and legal requirements, for example for food contact, or specialist advice. We are not liable for decisions taken solely on the basis of the general information on the website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law or affects the mandatory rights of consumers.
8. Personal data
The personal data processed when you browse, in correspondence and through the virtual assistant, their recipients, retention periods and your rights are described in the Privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
The version published on this page applies from the date shown. An update does not retroactively change contracts already concluded.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are settled amicably or, failing that, by the courts having jurisdiction under the law. This clause does not restrict the mandatory rights of consumers.
